Why Use the Watch

Stay in your flow without walking back to the phone between swings.

Setup: Step by Step

Get your Watch connected in under a minute.

  1. Install the Watch app Open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to "Available Apps," and install TwoViewGolf. The Watch and iPhone pair automatically over Bluetooth.
  2. Open TwoViewGolf on your iPhone Navigate to the camera view (start a solo or multi-device session). The Watch needs the iPhone app to be actively running.
  3. Open TwoViewGolf on your Watch You'll see a "Ready" screen with a large red record button and a golf icon. This means the Watch is connected and waiting for your command.
  4. Tap the red button to start recording A 3-2-1 countdown appears on both the Watch and the iPhone (with audible tones). Recording begins on all connected cameras when it hits zero.
  5. Tap the square button to stop All cameras stop recording. The Watch shows "Saving..." then "Saved!" with a haptic confirmation.
Tip: Position your phone(s) on tripods, start the session, then walk to the hitting area with your Watch. You never need to touch the phone again until you're done practicing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Apple Watch models work?
Any Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later. The app uses basic WatchConnectivity for communication — no special sensors or hardware are required.
Can I use the Watch without multiple iPhones?
Yes. The Watch works with a single iPhone just as well as with multiple devices. It's a remote control regardless of how many cameras you have.
Do I need to keep the Watch screen on?
No. The app continues running when the screen dims. Just make sure TwoViewGolf is in the foreground on the Watch (not switched to another app).
Why does the countdown play sounds on the iPhone?
The audible 3-2-1 countdown gives you a timing cue even when you're looking at the ball, not at the Watch or phone screen.
What if the Watch says "iPhone not reachable"?
Make sure TwoViewGolf is actively open on the iPhone (not just backgrounded). The Watch needs the app to be running in the foreground to receive commands. Try closing and reopening TwoViewGolf on both devices.
